Choosing the right roof for your wooden home
A high-quality roof and a professionally installed rainwater drainage system will ensure the longevity and comfort of your timber cabin. In this text, we would like to introduce the different roofing materials we offer, their advantages, and briefly explain what should be considered when choosing a roofing material for your project.

From design to production
The roof of a wooden house must match its design and must also be durable and easy to maintain. If you choose to buy a wooden house outright, you will not have to worry about individual parts not fitting together, or about not having the right structures in place for the further stage of construction.
We use a choice of 17-, 19- or 28-mm thick roof boards for our timber cabins. The thickness depends on the model and size of the house and its summer/winter adaptation. Depending on the design of the house, 44×140 mm or 70×140 mm rafters are used. As we make everything ourselves, these details are discussed at the beginning of the project, so you don’t have to worry about anything later – you will get a complete set of the wooden house ready to build. From design to production, we’ll make sure that your project has nothing missing!
What type of roofing do we offer?
Choosing a roofing material doesn’t have to be a hassle. We have a clear system that will help you choose a roofing material that meets your expectations and budget. First, there are a few practical aspects to consider:
Flat roof
If the wooden house model you have chosen is flat, only a bitumen adhesive roofing will fit. This coating has a very high-water resistance and is therefore probably the only one suitable for flat or almost flat roofs. Customers appreciate the aesthetic appeal of this coating and the fact that it requires no additional maintenance.
Roof with a slope of up to 10 degrees
If the house model you have chosen has a roof with a slope of up to 10 degrees, then you can choose either a bituminous adhesive coating or a bituminous tile coating. Bituminous tiles are not suitable for flat roofs but can be an aesthetic choice for roofs with a slope. This roofing material is often chosen for its distinctive design and color options. Like adhesive bituminous roofing, it is resistant to water, UV rays, temperature and other atmospheric changes.
Roof pitch of more than 10 degrees
If the model you have chosen has a roof slope of more than 10 degrees, then you can choose a roofing material from almost all of the materials we offer, all of which have their pros and cons, so choose the one that suits you best both technically and aesthetically. We offer the following coatings:
- Bituminous tiles.
- Pros: low weight, easy installation, moisture resistance, good sound insulation.
- Cons: Requires a solid base for installation, shorter service life (30-40 years).
- Fibrocement tiles.
- Pros: self-regulating humidity, durability (up to 50 years), resistance to mold, rotting, rodents and other pests do not like this coating.
- Cons: susceptibility to damage during transport and installation, requiring knowledge of the installation process.
- Ceramic tiles.
- Pros: beautiful, exclusive roofing, natural composition, does not fade for a long time, durability – tiles are resistant to temperature, moisture, fire.
- Cons: higher price.
- 3 types of sheeting.
- ros: more color choice, most environmentally friendly option, lower price, durability.
- Cons: more noise in case of precipitation, expansion and contraction of the tin (as the sun heats it up) can cause a characteristic crackling sound.
If you're not sure
If you’re not sure which type of roofing materials is the best for your building, our project managers are ready to hear out to your needs and suggest the best option for you. We offer PVC or steel gutters to match all roof types.
